Writing Reflection End of year

This year has been a wonderful experience as a year 8 student ,coming back to Pt England and finishing off this year with a smile. As a year 8 student here at Pes I am most proud of being selected for the rugby 7s team and finishing this year off with a smile.

One of my important lessons I have learned here at Pes was to strive to succeed, Show brother love ,never give up and to have faith. This year our Rugby sevens team took a team down to Tauranga for the national aims games, our goal was to win ,and what did we do, we took it out. We wouldn’t have won if it Wasn’t for faith ,brother love ,never give up and to strive to succeed.

What i hope to do next year is to stay in school do my best, and to set a goal for the future. The most important thing i really hope to do next year is to get my grades up and to become a role model ,so people can appreciate me some day.

If i come across any challenges next year I will remember to use my wits and to never give up.

I give thanks to the office people for helping me out this year I especially give love and thanks to my mum and Mrs Tele’a for giving me love support and for always having my back through bad problems.

My Reflections of my part of the Movie

My Reflections of my part of the Movie

I am going to talk about my experience, In Room 3, filming our Manaiakalani Film Festival movie. I enjoyed how everybody in my team did their part well and all though we only had a little bit of time.

My character was to be a nerd who gets influence easily and sniffs his nose to much. I think our movie was the best everybody did their part smoothly and good ,and we only had a little bit of time.

My ideas for next year is to do another movie like this but more practice and time. For next year i suggest you try and find time.

Fun Run

Team 5 has been preparing for the cross country fun run since term 1 ,from running to the bin and back ,to the rock and back , to the walkway up near Pt England beach and then back down to the transformer up again , to the walkway and then back to school. It was good training for the year 7s and 8s.

Up again on a beautiful lovely day ,Hikianalia yellow ,hine moana blue, hokule'a green and te aurere red reunite for the main event ,Cross Country. Year 1 to year 8 boys and girls will all attend this event. It's the event we've all been waiting for.

On the way to the starting line i felt confident but at the same time i felt nervous ,in my mind i thought ,it doesn't matter because all the cross country races i did i manage to come 1st 2nd or 3rd. ON YOUR MARKS GET SET! And off  we went the year 8 boys running fast off the starting line down to the first arrow like fire and bullets but probably they didn't realize ,that it was 2 laps around the whole race track SPLASH! On the big puddles near the village right on to the bike track lots of boys were already out of energy.

Friday's speech competition

Friday was the day of the annual speech competition. 3 finalist from each literacy class will say there speech. Three best confident speakers will contest into school assembly.

The most thoughtful speaker that was appealing to me was Seini ,she made good communication with the audience and had great eye contact with all the audience. She had good sentences and great points.

I liked how she gave us more knowledge about culture and how it good help me learn. I think i should be like Seini she is a good example to me.

This is my writing about the speech competition. I strongly vote for Seini.

My speech

Why we wear school uniform
Students wearing school uniform would be the best thing for students' altogether, mainly for three reasons. School is a place for learning, a place for entertainment, a place for a better future.
Today students forget about the real reason of going to school and focus on their education.

Wearing school uniforms, teaches school students to dress smartly and take pride in themselves. Uniforms aren’t a bad thing, because when everyone is dressed the same, worrying about what you look like isn't so important.

Wearing school uniforms come with heaps of reasons. One of the reasons is that school uniforms create an easy morning routine for everybody. You don’t have to stand in your room and think about what you are going to wear to school for hours, because all you have to do is get your school uniform out and put it on. It’s so easy you don’t even have to think about it. Another reason that comes with wearing a school uniform is that it makes it easier for the teachers at school to recognize their students. One more advantage is that with a school uniform you don’t have to bother impressing your friends on what you wear, because most people would probably do that.

Another reason is that you don’t have to buy new clothes a lot, because you have to choose a different pair of clothes to wear everyday. Once you have warn basically everything you want to wear, you have to buy new clothes which can sometimes cost a fortune. But with a school uniform you will only probably have to buy another uniform once a year. Uniforms can cost a lot sometimes, but it is way better then having to buy different clothes all through the year. We have heaps of mufti days during the year and that's okay because mufti days are only good for a few days a year or they will probably get quite boring to be honest with you.Wearing school uniform can be less expensive than buying a whole wardrobe of outfits, uniform can still be high priced. 1

School uniform is very important on special occasion’s like showing visitors around the school or school trips, performance’s and heaps more. Also uniforms are common in school sports teams such as rugby ,soccer and other sports.

Todays work

Hi today I was just working on our sketch for our basketball shelter plan first we thought of a ordinary shelter but….  We thought bigger and are trying to make a movable shelter for the weather.  For an example if it is raining you can pull it over and if it’s a beautiful day than

Back here is a bird's eye view

Today I did a hyperstudio example drawing of the school basketball court with our design attached to it. For a design we are making a basketball shelter so while it rains students of pt england can still enjoy playing

This is just an update about our basketball shelter. Today my group and I met with Mrs Tele’a to tell her what our group is called. And it’s call Technofreez, we also told her what we are doing and what material we need to make a basketball shelter. My group and I are very confident about our project.

Explanation:

I think School is a special place to go to because we need education in our lives. Without School there is no place to be taught well home is where you learn to. School is a special environment it has all the things you need. School is like a little tiny space of life to learn and have a better future. In school we have teachers. We have them to guide us to the best path and to help us succeed in life. School is an an area which people who like to volunteer to help us. School helps to do the right thing like to be thankful of what we receive it doesn't matter if it’s yuck or yum ,big or small ,or if your teacher is strict and the other teacher isn't. I like school because of the fun and enjoying stuff we do here I like being at the top of a group not at the bottom. Getting a high commendation at school can lead to a neat job in life and a better future.
How far you do and how high you get the chances why you would be there is because of school. Schooling is a better place to be it helps you learn to be responsibil independent and learn many other skills. School would be the safest place to be getting hurt not a problem ,doing well great ,getting in trouble well almost there. School helps you to become more of yourself strengthen your talents become a leader do what you do not what other people do.

It’ not my choice for you to go to school.

My Role model

Mums are the best gifts that god has provided for us.

My mum is a great example because she tells us what's wrong and right
She tells me to be a great example to the young ones. She tells me that I know what's wrong and right.
Firstly my mum helps me get to school on time and always worries about me.

Secondly my mum helps me out with my homework and makes it easier for me.

Mums are great they help us succeed in life and enjoy on with our journeys.
